Ito City Ito city is located in the east side of Shizuoka prefecture where is famous for the resort and the beach. Recently, the popularity of this city and the area has been decreased. People of Caos The most famous shopping district, Ginza streets has closed for the pedestrian paradise on holiday. People enjoy the pedestrian area while they are shopping. People gather to Ginza and it looks like People of Caos. (1:10)

Asakusa Tori no Ichi

Tori no Ichi is a famous fair which held at Chokoku-ji in Asakusa. The event has started in the Edo period and has taken place every year for welcoming New year. In the fair, you can buy a bamboo rake which brings you happiness, some of them are well decorated and you can feel the art of Edo period.

Asakusa Arcade

This arcade is probably the most famous arcade in Japan, and it is a entrance passege to Asakusa Senso Temple. There are many shops that are cake shops, suvenior shops and so on. It has been visited by many tourists from all over the world.

Atami Sea and Port

Atami Sea is located in Sagami bay and is known as old hot spring city. The scenery is from the route 135 which is the seaside road and you can see the Hatsushima island. The Ajiro sea port is for the fish market which local people use.

Atami Baien Park

Atami Baien Park is famous for autumnal leaves and small Umemi falls which you can go into the rocks behind the falls. In early spring, there is Japanese plum festival, the name Baien comes from Japanese plum as well.

Akihabara Night Walk

Akihabara is the center of Otaku culture, but there are still many PC stores which sell at the lowest price. I often visit Akihabara to buy them.

Ginza Night Walk

Ginza is the shopping district, there are several brand shops and department stores as well as restaurants. Ginza used to be very posh area but it is getting more and more casual.

Yaesu - the entrance of Tokyo Station

Yaesu is the entrance of Tokyo station which faces east. There is a long distance bus terminal and also easy to access to the rapid trains. Yaesu is the small area but there are full of businessmen and travelers. It has been in the redevelopment work which builds 2 high towers.

Tsuruoka Hachimangu

Tsuruoka Hachimangu is a Shinto Shrine which was founded by Yoritomo Minamoto who was the founder of the Kamakura Shogunate. It is consist of the large garden and the stairs to the main hall.

Enoden Train

Enoden is a local train which runs between Kamakura and Fujisawa. It has 100 years of its history and loved by people of the retro appearance. It is often used in movies and Dramas.

Kamakura Daibutsu

The statue of Buddha is located in Koutoku-in, Hase, Kamakura. It is known as Kamakura Daibutsu and it is said that the current blonde statue was constructed in 1252. It is one of the most historical treasure of Japan.

Urban Dock Toyosu

Urban dock Toyosu is a shopping mall, restaurants and amusement space complex which previously a shipyard and then redeveloped. It is located at the waterfront of Tokyo bay and become a popular residential area as Toyosu's redevelopment project.

Numazu Seaside

Numazu city is located in the west coast of Izu. All beaches are usually crowded as of the small land in Japan, but few people in the beach in this city. It is my secret place for summer.

Eitai Bridge - Night view

Eitai Bridge connects to the central and the eastern Tokyo. It is on Sumida river and the current bridge was built in 1926. It is famous for the night view which lighted up in silent blue. This is my favorite bridge.

Shin Marunouchi Building

This is a newly developed building which is located in Marunouchi where the business center of Japan. It is next to Tokyo station which connected by underground passage.

Portable shrine @ Mitsukoshi

This is a very small local festival near my home and people carry the mikoshi (portable shrine) around the town. It is a nice weekend event for the region.

Harumi Wharf

It is located in Tokyo Bay and you can see the Rainbow Bridge from here. It has a park where I have BBQ with my friends.

Tokyo Riverside

Riverside of Sumida River which runs through Tokyo Bay. The bridge is called Central Big Bridge. It is in the warm spring afternoon

Cherry Blossoms at night

All cherry trees are lighted up so that we can enjoy "Blossoms" at night. We paticularly call "Yozakura" for cherry blossoms at night.

Cherry Blossoms in a Park

Cherry blossom season has come and we believe this is the notice of spring. I visited Hibiya Park, not fully blossomed yet but very nice indeed.

Atami City

Atami used to be popular as tourist destination but now losing its popularity. However the view from seaside looks like Monaco although it is not a high class city.

Omotesando Hills

The famous Japanese Architect Tadao Ando designed this building which is located in Omotesando. This is very spacy building which has brand shops inside.

Ameyoko Market

Original name of Ameyoko is Ameya Yokocho which means candy store alley. It is one of the busiest market street in Japan where you can buy foods, sweets, clothes, sport goods, cosmetics and so on.

Venusfort

VenusFort is the first theme park-like shopping mall in Japan. Inside the enclosed building, the ceiling changes from clear blue sky to the evening sunset.

Hong Kong town in Japan

Small Hong Kong is a emulation of Hong Kong and it was set up in the building. There are some Chinese restaurants, goods shops, Amusement park and so on.

Odaiba 1cho-me Street

Odaiba 1cho-me Shopping street is a emulation of the old Japanese one which is in 50 years ago. It was set up in the building called Decks Tokyo Beach.

Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge connects between the mainland of Tokyo and Odaiba area and it is famous for the night view. The bridge consists of expressway, railroad, road and pathway.

LIGHTOPIA - Wadakura

LIGHTOPIA is the exhibition of light around Tokyo station. The concept of this exhibition is "Eatrh, Eco and Peace".

Hokusai on the wall

Hokusai, the old master of Japanese paintings, is exhibited on the wall screen of Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower in Tokyo.

Nihonbashi at 10PM

Nihonbashi (bridge) is the center of commerce in Edo period. The express way was built over the bridge when Tokyo orimpic games was taken place. It is too late to get rid of the express way and this spoils one of the most important bridge in Japan. What a shame !

Nakadori - Marunouchi

Nakadori (street) is located in Marunouchi where is the center of business of Japan. It has been done the redevelopment work around this area past 10 years or so.

Izu West Coast

This video was filmed when I drive alongside the west coast of Izu peninsula. I am sure that this is one of the most beautiful views of Japan.

Izu peninsula is popular as a tourist area and mountains are sit on the center of the peninsula.

Bettara Market

Bettara market is a festival that celebrates Bettara-zuke, the pickled radish. It is only taken place once a year in autumn.

Koukyo is the Inperial Palace and it is situated in the center of Tokyo. It is very close to the business district, Marunouchi.

Marunouchi Exit

Marunouchi is the west area of Tokyo station where is known as office place. Recently, redevelopment work has been made to this area and been changing more entertainment area for office people.

Kiyosumi Sendai Horikawa

Sendai Horikawa is a transportation by water which locates in Kiyosumi, east Tokyo. This water transport was made for transport salt in the old days.

Edo bridge

As you know the name of this bridge is come from Edo era and the original Edo bridge was built in 1631 which is about 30 years after the Edo period started.

From a Shinkansen Window

A scenery from a Shinkansen window. I take Shinkansen (Rapid train) every week to comute between Tokyo and Izu, Shizuoka where is my home town.

Moat around Imperial Palace

The moat around Imperial Palace of Kudanshita Exit side. The water is so green! Because of phytoplankton's affect.

Otemachi Fountain

A fountain in Otemachi area where the most famous office place in Japan. It is also close to the Imperial Palace Garden.

Nichigin Building

Nichigin (Bank of Japan) building located in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, is the central bank of Japan. The night view of this building is beautiful !

Rice Fields

The scenery of rice fields, this is a very typical country side scenery, I love this because of the beauty of green and Japanism!

Bamboo Grove

This "Bamboo Grove" is one of my faivorite places in Japan because it is very quiet and so relaxing. I sometimes sleep on the bench in the center of the path which also made by bamboo.

Narrow Path - alongside a river

Walking on the narrow path alongside a river, it was a warm day in the afternoon and it made me feel nice and relaxed.

Shuzenji Temple

Shuzenji Temple was built by the Priest KOBO in 807 in Heian era. It resides in the center of Shuzenji city which was named from this temple.

Bright Red Bridges

Red bridges made with the oldish form are often found in old towns and cities. I love the color of Bright Red, it looks really cute.

Tokko no Yu - Open air bath

Tokko no Yu is the open air bath which was found by Kobo Daishi (Priest) in 807. Very old open air bath is the main part of Suzenji town.

Atami Station

Atami is located the border of Kanagawa and Shizuoka prefecture and is know as one of the most popular destination for weekend trip among Tokyo residence. Shinkansen stops at this station.

Mikoshi is a portable shrine and very poplar attraction for summer festival all over Japan. All divisions usually have their own Mikoshi design to compete the beauty as well.

Meguro River

Meguro river runs between Daikanyama and Nakameguro areas where is the most fashionable area and there are a lot of fashion stores.

Akihabara - Chuo street

As you know, Akihabara is the place where you can buy electric gadget. But you can also find PC parts everywhere in Akihabara.

Kanogawa river

Kanogawa river runs through from the bottom of Mt. Fuji towards Suruga bay, clear water with fishes, mountains background makes the perfect country scenery of Japan.

Tokyo Tower

Tokyo tower is one of the most famous landmark in Tokyo. It is located in Shiba area. It has been planned to build a new Tokyo tower in the east Tokyo in 2011 with the height of 610m.

Old Building

This is a really old building which I found in the downtown. It reminds me "old Japanese" which becoming more difficult to find in recent days. It is a typical combination of residential top floors and stores on the ground floor.

Mansei Bridge

The nostalgic Mansei Bridge is located in Akihabara. This bridge is on Kanda river and leads to Sumida river then Tokyo bay.

Mitsukoshi Depertment Store

Mitsukoshi is one of the oldest and biggest depertment store in Japan, this video was taken in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.

Akihabara - Electric Paradise

Mansei-bashi cross point in front of Akihabara station. Akihabara is the best place to buy electric gadget. Also the center of the Otaku culture.

Shinkansen

Shinkansen is a rapid train that runs through Japan. High speed, clean inside, safe but expensive, about twice as much as local trains that we even think expensive.
