The Atomic Bomb Dome is a part of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park which is in the center of Hiroshima city and the dome has been preserved in the same state as immediately after the bombing.
The purpose of the preservation is to establish the memory of nuclear horrors and advocate world peace. This Atomic Bomb Dome was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. (2:12)

This shrine is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and several buildings and possessions in this shrine are designated as national treasures.

A paper lantern that lit by a candle inside and streamed down a river. Usually a message is written on the outside of the paper lantern. The purpose of this event is to send off ancestor's spirits.
